Experience:

Applicants should have 2-3 years of experience in camp programming, enrichment, after school programming, childcare, or teaching. Applicants must pass a state background check.


Open Positions

Site Director

Manages the camp site and day-to-day operations of the camp. Site Directors generally work in teams of two to supervise volunteers and work with other staff to create a positive, safe and fun environment for our campers. Hours are approximately 8:30-4:00 daily, with one later afternoon each week.

Site Supervisors

Oversees operations at two or more camp sites, supporting staff in all roles, evaluating the camps and working directly with the camp Directors and Admin to ensure camps are running smoothly. Hours are flexible, with Supervisors typically working 2-4 days per week.

Teachers

Certified K-12 teachers or equivalent with strong classroom management skills who are ready to deliver exciting and engaging curriculum utilizing collaborative learning, hands-on and creative teaching techniques. Hours are approximately 8:30-3:45 daily and include a minimum of one hour of paid prep daily. Teachers work one later afternoon each week.

Teaching Fellows

College students and recent graduates interested in pursuing education and developing leadership and instructional skills working with campers in a fun, engaging teaching environment. Teaching hours are approximately 8:30-4:30 daily, with one later afternoon each week, plus additional training and seminars.

Instructional Coaches

Experienced teachers supervise and mentor college students interested in pursuing education. Instructional coaches can work full or part time with a flexible summer schedule, typically working 2-3 days per week with a flexible schedule.

Assistant Camp Director

Helps support operations at all camp locations, working directly with the Executive Director and Director of Learning to support. This position includes administrative functions such as managing registration software, camp logistics, answering parent emails, summer staff and sub schedules, and supporting the day-to-day needs at camp during the summer. The Assistant Camp Director has a minimum of 3-5 years working in an Overnight or Day Camp setting, with at least one year of supervisory experience as well as a personal vehicle/reliable transportation. The Assistant Camp Director position is seasonal, beginning in March or April and concluding at the end of August 2024, with potential to lead to a year round position.

Summer Staff Training Dates:
Site Director Training: June 26-28
Teacher Training: June 29-30
Teaching Fellow Training: June 19-23 and June 29-30
All Staff Training: July 5-7
Site Set Up Days: July 8 or 9 (one half day, TBD based on location)

Compensation:
Salary ranges from $18-$28 per hour, based on experience and position. Positions range from 15-40 hours per week.

Summer Staff may be offered a 3 or 6 week camp contract. Paid training is provided, as well as CPR/First Aid Certification
