The mission of Girls Rock Math is to provide thought-provoking, creative experiences in math, empowering girls to develop confidence in their skills and

a life-long interest in mathematics.

Make a Difference with Girls Rock Math

Girls Rock Math offers leadership programs for middle and high school students.  High school students spend two weeks working with girls in 1st-6th grade at one of our math camps as Counselors.  Graduated campers entering 7th and 8th grade may gain leadership skills by volunteering as a CIT with 1st-3rd graders in our Girls R.O.C.K Leadership program.

Application Process:

Potential counselors will fill out the basic application below to get started.  This will put you in touch with our Girls Rock Math Leadership Program Coordination Team who will take you through the application process outlined below. Applications will be accepted until all positions are filled.

References:

Once we have begun the process we will ask you to provide up to 3 non-family/non-friend references (teachers, coach, youth ministers, boss, etc.)

Interviews:

New applicants must have a phone/Skype interview prior to acceptance as an Counselor.

Scheduling:

  • New counselors need to be entering 9th-12th grade and new applicants must commit to a minimum of two weeks 

  • CITs need to be former GRM campers and entering 7th or 8th grade and will be asked to commit to one week (non-campers may apply, but priority is given to former campers and we have a limited number of openings)

  • We want to get you scheduled as soon as we can! We know everyone wants to plan their summer so this is important.  We will send you a list of potential camp dates and then work with your availability and our openings to get you set up for summer.

Mandatory Training Date:

Once selected, new counselors & CITs will do an online training as well as an in-person training with the GRM staff, tentatively scheduled for Sunday, June 7th.
